Dr. Brittany Bennett Stryker, OTD has provided caring expertise to the babies and kids of the southwest region for the last 15 years.  Brittany graduated with her doctorate degree from Creighton University's School of Pharmacy and Health Professions in 2006.  She went on to specialize in neuromuscular, idiopathic and congenital scoliosis at Northwestern Medical School and returned to practice in her hometown of Las Vegas, NV. 

 

Dr. Stryker is the owner and clinical practice manager of Orthopedic Motion Inc, serving every hospital in Las Vegas, NV.  She is one of only four practitioners in the country certified in the LA bracing system and has over a decade of experience using the most advanced technology to treat plagiocephly, brachycephaly, scaphycephaly, and craniosynostosis.

Brittany is a force to be reckoned with in the cranial remolding community.  It is not only her expertise but also her authentic care for her patients and families that stands out.  When not busy in the clinic or running hospital calls, Brittany values time with her husband Adam Stryker, two children, and two very busy puppies.

Dr. Kaitlin Bennett Ploeger, OTD has been working with Orthopedic Motion for the last three years as a cranial remolding specialist.  Since 2017, she has treated a high volume of patients and continues her education in the latest and greatest cranial research.  Kaitlin graduated from Creighton University with her doctorate in Occupational Therapy after completing her rotations at Kansas City Children’s Hospital and Pediatric Therapy Center.  She returned to her hometown of Las Vegas and has been working with kids since her return.  Kaitlin specializes in pediatric occupational therapy and also practices as a NICU/PICU Occupational Therapist.  Kaitlin is currently working on her certification as a neonatal therapist.

 

Kaitlin stands apart from other cranial remolding practitioners because she is experienced in spotting underlying conditions that can contribute to plagiocephaly.  She provides whole-person care and can offer home programming information to help your little one.  She prides herself on being available to guide families during the treatment process.  

 

When not seeing your baby, other babies, or singing in the halls of Orthopedic Motion, Kaitlin is busy with her baby!  In 2019 she and her husband welcomed sweet Gwen into the world.  Together they enjoy spending time by the pool, going to concerts, and exploring different areas of town.

Dr. Katherine Barnes, OTD, started at Orthopedic Motion Inc. in 2018 as a student resident. She then graduated from Creighton University’s Doctor of Occupational Therapy program in May of 2019 after completing rotations in diverse settings. Her final setting included a four month rotation in the Dominican Republic collaborating with and providing education to pediatric healthcare professionals. Following graduation, she returned to Las Vegas to specialize as a pediatric occupational therapist. She completed additional training to become a certified cranial remolding AllStar through Orthomerica's STARband Cranial remolding program in addition to a Board Certified Orthotic Fitter.

 

Katherine is unique in utilizing a family centered approach to treatment and focuses on comprehensive child development. She has gained extensive knowledge in pediatric development by working in outpatient pediatrics and early intervention services. Due to this background, she is skilled in communicating positioning and tummy time suggestions to caregivers that allow for head shape improvement. 

 

Katherine is a research enthusiast and has presented at multiple national and international conferences. She stays up to date on current treatment protocols in order to give our families the keys to success. She is an active member of both the state and national associations.

 

Outside of the clinic, Katherine loves to travel and adventure in new places. We can find her camping, hiking, and exploring the beautiful national parks. She is passionate about educating families and fellow practitioners in the benefit of orthotics and she is excited to share her knowledge with the Omaha Community.
